I have changed the itinaray to Port Askaig. I will try to get the passage plan up before I depart Bangor but the route is pretty much the same as to Port Ellen.

RNLI Islay

A lifeboat has been stationed at Port Askaig on the most southerly Hebridean island for over 70 years. Often launching into hurricane force winds, today’s Severn class lifeboat provides search and rescue cover for both commercial and leisure marine activities in the area.

RNLI Bangor, Co. Down

Situated on the shores of Belfast Lough, on the north east coast of Northern Ireland, Bangor lifeboat station has provided search and rescue cover for the area for over 40 years. The station operates a B class Atlantic 85 lifeboat.
