First long distance run confirms fuel economy |

With the arrival of spring today (apparently winter returns at the weekend!!!!) I did a long solo run from Plymouth to Falmouth. The sea was flat with just a F3 but the 80 miles saw 82 ltrs show up on the fuel used guage. I am getting more and more confident that 1 ltr per mile is a true figure in calmer water. It will be interesting to see if that drops any when all the equipment is on board and the weight is up?
The trip went 100% to plan... departed 11:45 arrived 14:15... departed 15:45 arrived back at 17:55. Cruising was at 18kts going and 21kts on the return with no difference in fuel usage each way.
Look out for more runs in the coming weeks as I get more kit installed and the final configuration takes shape.
