Today saw the first trials of the new Suzuki DF6 auxiliary engine and it performed superbly!

Although it is still in the run in period I can report that at 1/2 throttle it gave a solid 5kts in a calm sea. Once it is fully run in and serviced I will report again on how it performs at normal operating power... I suspect it will be quite adequate for the purpose.

I love these little engines. I have a DF2.5 for my dinghy and it is lightweight and very quiet... if you are in the market for a new outboard you must take a serious look at the Suzuki range.
