RNLI IslayA lifeboat has been stationed at Port Askaig on the most southerly Hebridean island for over 70 years. Often launching into hurricane force winds, today’s Severn class lifeboat provides search and rescue cover for both commercial and leisure marine activities in the area. RNLI ObanLocated in the attractive fishing port and popular west coast holiday town, Oban lifeboat station today operates an all weather Trent class lifeboat.
