Jo and I went to Plymouth today. I spent 1.5 hours having my eyes tested and Jo filled a prescription. No clothes of any description were purchased. This must be some sort of record.

Paul is in Hull Marina, and is planning to leave tomorrow at about 9am, so that the tide up the Humber is not running too fast. He aims to get to Lowestoft if possible, with Wells as his alternate if he is going to be too late for Lowestoft. Continuing to HullJuly 22nd, 2008, 11:12:34 am
Paul will continue to Hull but can’t arrive there until 7pm so will take it easy later in the journey. I’m off but to where?July 22nd, 2008, 7:45:53 am
The sea state and weather is much better this morning with the clever wave height buoy in Hartlepool Bay showing 1.25m, wind is F2 and partly cloudy and it is a lot warmer I am going to leave early today and see how it is. If it is good and is getting better and I can see that I can make Hull then I will continue past Scarborough but I will not make that decision until when I am nearly at Scarborough in the same way that I bypassed Whitehills. On the other hand, if I decided to go to Scarborough today I may have to find somewhere to anchor up for a few hours as I can not get into there until about 5pm. I think it is worth the potential hassle to get to Hull today as I can then make use of the building high pressure to the south. More when I arrive at whichever port I end up at! |
