Looking at the weather this evening here there is almost no wind, even outside the marina, and the forecast is for it to go south westerly so if I get to Whitehills and the sea and weather looks good then I will consider not stopping at Whitehills and going straight on to Peterhead. It is only about 35 miles further on and I have plenty of fuel on board to go on. It would be a shame not to take advantage of good conditions and it will give me a chance to catch up a bit too.
I will call Sal and ask her to update the home page if I decide to go on.

The wind is looking like it might drop tomorrow and perhaps just as importantly it is looking like going westerly and away from the northerly of the past few days. If that is so then I might be able to get to Whitehills tomorrow and it might even allow me to get round Rattray Head and on towards Peterhead on Monday. After that it picks up again so if I don’t make peterhead then it is difficult to see when i will get away from Whitehills.
Either way, I am expecting to get away tomorrow but when I will leave I don’t know yet as I haven’t yet looked at the tides but in any case it won’t be before 8am as that is when the lockeepers start work.
More tomorrow morning after reviewing the situation.
