Anyone interested in details of our 4×4 boat should visit www.landroverboats.co.uk - well, actually, no:-) The canal is tree-lined therefore leading, we surmise, to his position being slightly, well, questionable. For those new to this area, the canal lies to the North of, and runs alongside the River Lochy at this point, so the boat track should lie along the more northerly line of water. Through Neptune’s StaircaseJuly 7th, 2008, 12:19:54 pm
Paul has made it through all the locks at Benavie which comprise "Neptune’s Staircase" and is having a cuppa before heading off along the canal. The outline plan is to spend nights in Loch Oich, Fort Augustus and Drumnadrochit before reaching Seaport Marina in Inverness. Off road boatingJuly 7th, 2008, 10:13:54 am
Paul has graduated from parking in fields and on large buildings and is taking off-road boating to a whole new level! There is a series of locks to negotiate if you’re wondering why he doesn’t appear to be going anywhere. On his way againJuly 7th, 2008, 9:49:15 am
Paul has had a quiet night in the lock basin, and is on his way along the Caledonian Canal, travelling at his own pace and expecting to reach Inverness in about 4 days time. The water in Loch Linnhe is completely flat today. Sally’s Blog - Carpet todayJuly 7th, 2008, 8:59:01 am
Andy the carpet fitter is already here and has started laying the new carpet - in the ensuite, hall, stairs, landing and downstairs loo. Can’t wait - it signals the end of all the major house improvements and decorations. Exhausting day yesterday what with Lewis winning that incident-packed F1 race and then THAT tennis match! I was running out of energy, let alone them! 5 hours of the most extraordinary shots coupled with fitness that Premiership football players can only DREAM about. Cramp after 95 minutes - wimps. |
