The lows continue
Westward Jetstream Over Southern UK

Thanks to Metcheck for this graphic… click on the picture for more info and Jetstream forecast
Well, the block that is indicated by the westward jetstream over the southern UK continues and the lows are forming and just circling around centred on the Bay of Biscay.
I am not happy setting out with such an unpredictable and potentialy severe weather situation. While the forecasts and charts indicate that there are F5-8 around I am not going.
However, it is not all bad news… the hook in the Jetstream is forecast to dissipate early next week and that suggests that the block may then weaken allowing these lows to move east. At the moment Tuesday looks like it might be F3-4 and Wednesday the same and if that happens then the sea will calm a little and I could get away Wednesday. I am afraid that given the forecast data as it is right now Wednesday is the first day I can see me going. I won’t hold my breath thogh… the forecasts indicated an improvement in 2-3 days almost everyday for the past 5… it didn’t happen and this one might not either…
