I have added a new page to show the weather forecast. Click on "Weather Forecast" on the right menu.
I will display WindGuru and AccuWeather data but may add to this later. I must point out that these are not the only weather sources I am using but they are the easier ones to put onto the web site!

Final preparations are going very well indeed. The boat is now fully equipped, antifouled, polished and waxed and almost completely packed. I originally thought I would not have enough space to store everything I needed to take but it looks like I may have space to spare!
The plan for the rest of this week is to finish packing tomorrow and then to do a “trial” run with everything exactly as it will be on Saturday. This will probably be a trip to Falmouth or Fowey depending on weather with an overnight stop to try everything out. Also, that trip will do the final tests for the real-time tracking which I am very excited about. Viewers to the web site can see my position updated every 10 minutes so when I am at sea you will be able to follow my progress in real time. Just click on “Live Tracking” on the right-hand side.
If all goes well then I should be ready to leave on Saturday as planned but at the moment the weather may have something to say about that. The current forecasts are predicting F4-5 and if that is how it turns out then I may delay my departure until Sunday or Monday when the forecast is looking better.
I would just like to remind everyone that I am doing this to raise money for the RNLI “Train one, save many” campaign. The RNLI is a charity and gets no government funding so it is supported solely by donations and lifeboats are crewed almost entirely by volunteers so please make a donation to the RNLI, no matter how small, by clicking on the “Sponsor Me” button on the web site.
Finally, I would like to thank all my sponsors and my wife for getting me this far and now the real fun begins…

Hi. My name is Sally and I am Paul’s wife. Paul sets off soon, leaving me to enjoy some quality time with myself
So I shall be making entries into my blog here, capturing some of the stuff I get up to back at home in Saltash. Hopefully it will provide some light entertainment and also provide some info on how the trip’s progress looks from here.
So, more later. To read it, follow the Latest News and Blog link and select the category "I’m staying at home blog" from the right hand panel.

Yes, it is all done and the boat is ready to go.
Next is to load it up with the stuff I am taking… and that will take a couple of days! So, next two days is loading and then I will see where I stand with weather for a test run perhaps on Thursday.
